Monotremes (/ m n t r i m z /) are mammals of the order Monotremata.They are the only group of living mammals that lay eggs, rather than bearing live young.The extant monotreme species are the platypus and the four species of echidnas. In general, ‘-ize’ ending have been used for verbs. The sauropsids, the lineage that gave rise to reptiles (including birds), and the lineage that gave rise to therapsids (mammal-like reptiles. We have also given, in many cases, plurals of nouns, comparatives and superlatives of adjectives, and inflections of verbs. The platypus ( Ornithorhynchus anatinus) belongs to the mammalian order of Monotremata, whose members (the platypuses and the echidnas) are distinct from all other mammals chiefly because they lay eggs. Though the platypus has been dubbed cute but vicious, not all platypuses possess venom. The words chosen include proper nouns, names of people and places, as well as common two- and three-word phrases. Within each section, the words are arranged alphabetically. We have included over 100,000 English words organized into words with two letters, words with three letters, four letters, etc., up to fifteen letters.
